Privacy policy

Effective October 6, 2026.

Descriptive Statistics is a statistics calculator published by Netersoft. It works entirely on your device: this policy explains what it does with your data.

No data collected

Descriptive Statistics does not collect, transmit or sell any personal data. The app has no user account, contains no usage analytics, advertising or crash reporting tools, and does not communicate with any server, Netersoft's included.

Data stored on your device

• Your backups (the series you entered, the backup's name and date) stay in the app, on your device.
• Your preferences (theme, language, decimal precision, chart types) are stored on the device.

Uninstalling the app permanently deletes this data.

Exports and sharing

When you export your backups, share a result or generate a PDF, the app opens the system share sheet: you choose the app or service that receives the file (Drive, email, messaging…), and the file is then subject to that service's rules. To import backups, you pick the file yourself in the system file picker; the app reads no other file.

External links

The button to rate the app opens its Google Play page. After a few saved calculations, the app may also show the Google Play (or App Store) review prompt once, handled by Google (or Apple): the app does not know whether you rated it or what you wrote. Descriptive Statistics transmits nothing else.

Children

Since Descriptive Statistics collects no data, it collects no data from children either.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will ship with the app update, along with its effective date.
